It is that time of year again (Tourist by Chance 2017 review), where we get to look back with you some of the great things that have made 2017 great for Tourist by Chance.
Unlike the posts of 2015 and 2016, this year I wanted to give you a summary of where Tourist by Chance has been and where I wish to take you in 2018.
So without further ado, lets see what 2017 was like on Tourist by Chance and which amazing places were explored!
Tourist by Chance 2017 Review
The year started with my trip to Australia after a 4 year hiatus and it was great Returning to Australia | 7 weeks, 3 states and plenty of wine, in 11 photos.
Once returned home to Italy in February/March, I discovered Rome’s Illusion | Via Niccolò Piccolomini and the Shrinking Cupola, along with exploring the exciting Mercato Centrale Roma | Termini’s New Hub for Roman Food.
In April I took a road trip back to my home town Pisa, Tuscany | A Quick View of Piazza dei Miracoli & the Leaning Tower but I did not waste time to return back to Rome and experience the awesome wine tasting experience of Enotica, Rome | The Wine Tasting Experience, you do not Expect.
In the true spirit of Tourist by Chance I got on the streets of Ostiense/Garbatella with Street Art App Rome | Discovering the Murals of the Eternal City.
With the public holiday in May, Marianna (a good friend Tourist by Chance) and I uncovered “Parc Güell” of Italy, known as Parco dei Tarocchi | One of Tuscany’s Best Kept Secrets and by June it was time to go back to one my favourite regions (11 Reasons to Love Umbria) and re-explore Orvieto.
Second Half of 2017
Summer time is here and I had to help you planning with Tourist by Chance | 5 Top Italian Cities for your Italian Vacation.
Always in July, I was so proud to write about Unesco World Heritage Sites Italy | Discover the Cultural Capital of the World, along with re-discovering Civita di Bagnoregio | Step Inside Italy’s Dying City with a friend of mine from Australia.
Next thing I know, Ferragosto is around the corner and I visit Celle Sul Rigo, Tuscany | Hot Springs, Chianti Wine & Il Gioco del Cacio.
Autumn is in the air and I have the pleasure to take part in the amazing Colosseum Night Tour | A Magical Experience with The Roman Guy, along with sharing with you one of my favourite ‘local’ areas of the Eternal City, Pigneto | Welcome to Rome’s Bohemian Neighbourhood.
To end the year in style and with the football (soccer) season in full swing, I thought I would share some useful information on Stadio Olimpico Rome | How to see a Serie A Football Game in the Eternal City.
