Welcome to the Region of Umbria, Italy – a recount of all the posts covered by Tourist by Chance on the ‘Green Heart’ and only landlocked region of Italy.
Umbria, Italy has been the backdrop to the top cycling events due to its impressive hills, it is also home to the Sagrantino grape (unique only to Umbria!) and the most important Eurochocolate festival in Italy (home of the Baci Perugina chocolates). Enotourism is huge in Umbria so make sure to check out my wines section for winery recommendations.
