Monterosso al Mare | An iPhone, a camera & 36 hours in the Cinque Terre

Welcome to the beautiful Cinque Terre. Join me, as I take from Monterosso to Riomaggiore by boat and show you this spectacular part of Italy. Dreaming of beautiful promenades, exploring some unique wineries or just looking for your next beach front location, then Monterosso and the Cinque Terre are what you are looking for.

As the title would suggest, it was a short trip but I did get to  undertake the neverending hike up to see Convento dei Cappuccini & Chiesa di San Francesco, as I was told that the views from up there were spectacular. The locals did not lie. The view was incredible.

I then decided to take the longer (and more expensive) way to reach Riomaggiore. I took the ferry which cost me 18.00EUR one way but it was definitely worth it. Also because I did not know when I would get back to the Cinque Terre again. I would strongly recommend taking the ‘ferry’, at least one way, even though the price tag can seem a little steep.

While I could not get more knowledge of local things to see and do in Monterosso, I did try take every opportunity to take photos and videos. The result? This post! I hope you enjoy and do share your tips, suggestions and photos, if you have been on Monterosso al Mare.
